Gogo means healer and elder. It's shorter than my first name. After living in the major cities of the USA, I've built a home in Homer, Alaska with my artist husband and our cat.
A Story Filled Life
My story began many decades ago in Las Vegas, Nevada. Raised in an Air Force family, as a child, I learned the lessons of impermanence and change. Writing was my first creative effort and constant companion for years.
Dance became my second creative mode. As a young adult I lived a community artist's life while taking temporary work or short stints in non-profits.
When I discovered the oral art of storytelling my creative expression expanded as wide as the world. I've told stories in cities and towns across this country to audiences from toddlers to elders.
A midlife crisis led me to become a registered nurse. During my short nursing career I helped deliver Hopi and Navajo babies before helping Alaska natives as a case manager. But I never stopped storytelling
After retiring from nursing, I began my online entrepreneurial journey beginning Vibrant Velvet Voice Productions.
I produced my first online event in 2019, the first all-woman-of-color online summit. Eventually, I found my way to energy healing and spiritual coaching.
In 2024 I began Proclaim Only What You Want™, a concept for creating clarity in one's own life and creating community with others.
